- We are getting a lot of book orders. Thank you!
- Week of the Young Child is April 10th- 16th. SRAEYC and the student ECE club needs baby food jars for this event. There will be a variety of booths for children to participate in, fishing booth, face painting, jewelry, science department, and Herrett Center reptiles. Food will be provided: pizza, fruit, and ice cream. Located at the Boys and Girls Club. This is a nationally celebrated week, and is a community event. Get the info out there; we would love a huge turnout. Keep the baby food jars coming!
- Date Night! Friday April 15th from 6-10. 10 dollars per child….. Dinner will be provided. Activities include ice cream making. Sign up is available at the preschool.
- We will be doing another work day in May. The preschool needs a lot of work and we were thinking we could do a spring planting day. We had some suggestions to clean up somewhere in the community; we will take a vote to see what everyone decides. (It has been decided that we will turn a community clean up day over to the student club.)
- No summer semester
- Jennifer has priced professional portraits for preschool children. (We discussed taking these ourselves.) The cost for a professional is somewhat high. Parents would pay individually-there would be no cost to the school.
- Discuss “Crickets in a Basket” and review of John Medina’s Brain Rules for Babies. Ellen and Brandy have guided questions for the review. Great discussion. Don’t miss the next meeting and our discussion on Brain Rules.
- We are re-licensing both the toddler and preschool labs.
- Jennifer and Aubrey have arranged a zoo day for the children and parents on April 30th at the Boise Zoo. Parents will provide their own transportation. A note was sent home with all the information.
- The preschool parking lot will be resurfaced this summer.
- Monday, April 11th- the Early Childhood Education Program will be hosting Children’s Day Out. The event will be held at the Boys & Girls club from 11-1. Please spread the word throughout our community.
